Diani Beach hospital. Wonderful staff & 1st class treatment!
09 January 2014, 13:45
No traveller expects to be taken I’ll on vacation but if it does happen it’s reassuring to know that you will be well cared for.
On Tuesday morning I took Mel to the hospital because her asthma was out of control. Within minutes her blood & oxygen levels were checked & she was examined by Dr. Raj.(He’s incredibly tall & handsome ladies!)
He decided immediately to admit her & within 15 minutes she was being administered intravenous antibiotics. Her private room was large, air conditioned, had TV, internet access & even contained a fridge stocked with beer & wine. The hospital is spotlessly clean & very well staffed. Even at night there were 4 nurses on duty for 7 patients! During the night Mel coughed once & a nurse was with her in seconds.
By morning she was much better & she was discharged by Dr Raj at 09.15. She was supplied with follow on medication. The bill was ready within 30 minutes so no hanging around. My insurance claim is being handled by AXA who’s cover we receive for free from my Lloyds bank account. The claim is being dealt with by Edna & has already been authorised. She took control of everything & liaised directly with the hospital, taking everything out of my hands.
I have nothing but praise for everyone at Diani Beach hospital & thank them deeply for restoring Mel’s health in such a timely & friendly manner.
